Channels play, but the TV guide (EPG) is empty or incomplete in an IPTV app. Guide problems are separate from playlist playback. Website Live TV can show a richer on-site schedule than many external apps.
Fix playback first
If nothing plays, fix the playlist first — EPG will not help. Confirm live video works, then chase the guide. Playback checklist: Premium IPTV is not working.
Auto vs manual EPG
Some players pull guide data from the playlist with little setup (Televizo on Android TV usually does this best). Others — TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, many Smart TV apps — often need a manual EPG / XMLTV source. Pick the path your app supports.
Add the XMLTV / EPG URL
Open My Account → IPTV (panel for EPG not working). Add a playlist first, then paste the EPG URL only — it is not a channel playlist. Update/refresh EPG; assign to the playlist if the app offers that.
- TiviMate (Fire TV / Android TV): Settings → EPG → EPG sources → Add source → paste → Update EPG → optionally Assign EPG.
- IPTV Smarters: EPG field when adding a playlist, or Settings → EPG → Update / Refresh.
- Televizo: often fills from the playlist; if the guide stays empty, confirm you used M3U Plus and force an EPG refresh in the app.
- Samsung / LG Smart TV IPTV apps: find EPG / XML / guide source in the app’s playlist settings and paste the same EPG URL; many never auto-load guide data from M3U alone.
Large downloads can take a few minutes before the programme list fills.
When the app cannot show a guide
- No EPG add option — in-app guide may stay empty; try Televizo or TiviMate, or use programme info on Live TV in the browser.
- Richer listings on the website than in the app — normal; on-site Live TV guide is not the same feed experience as every third-party app.
